A grand re-opening
Interactive kiosks for the Museum of Nature in Ottawa
When the Museum of Nature re-opened after substantial revisions in 2010, seven (7) of the interactive kiosks in various locations were developed by MARSWorks. Among those were the following:
- Earth Gallery – Minerals – a CMS driven display of the minerals found in various display cases, fully interactive and editable by Museum Staff after launch as new materials were added or removed
- Earth Gallery – Magic Planet Display: using the proprietary software provided by the Magic Planet display, we created an immersive and entertaining experience for visitors to the Earth Gallery
- Water Gallery – Pump Your Way Through a Day: working with Ottawa’s Dymech Engineering we developed a kiosk that allowed participants to actually pump their way through a day, pumping approximately as much water through the kiosk as one consumed in a day during their various activities
- Water Gallery – Sample Gallery: a CMS driven display of the animals found in various display cases, fully interactive and editable by Museum Staff after launch as new specimens were added or removed
- Donor Wall: Housed in the front area of the Museum where many social functions take place, the Donor Wall used an export from the Museum’s Donor Tracking CRM to display key donors in an interactive kiosk within this section of the Museum
